Louisiana-licensed massage therapist and CranioSacral practitioner Judy Bolton has pursued hands-on bodywork for over 20 years, furthering her knowledge and education with studies in the United States, Mexico, Peru, Thailand, Cambodia, Brazil, and Costa Rica.
Judy believes that our bodies are inextricably entwined with our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Pain or discomfort arises when the mind-body connection is disrupted. When we take time to quiet our minds and truly listen to our bodies, the link between mind and body can be restored, allowing us greater freedom to align with our divine purpose in life.
Judy’s comprehensive study of many bodywork modalities, including traditional medicines and techniques, has led her to focus on the areas of the spine and brain. CranioSacral Therapy is Judy’s primary modality, with adjunct therapies as needed. She received her B.A. with a focus on pre-med and the philosophy of traditional medicines from Evergreen State College, and she is a graduate of the Seattle School of Massage. Judy has been a teaching assistant at the Upledger Institute of CranioSacral Therapy since 2007, and received her certification in SomatoEmotional Release (SER) from the Institute in 2003.
Currently, Judy is focusing on team-assisted rehabilitation of individuals recovering from head injuries.
In keeping with her commitment to natural, holistic health, Judy created Deep South Skin Products in 1997. In 2009, she conceived of and organized the Snake Oil Tour, a healing modalities tour focused on local practitioners of traditional medicine in each community visited. She continues to seek out new techniques, modalities and approaches to better assist her clients in regaining full function and enjoyment.
